VDU Screenings

We can offer onsite VDU  screenings for minimum of 15 employees, or we can carry out a VDU screening in our clinic. We have a large array of lenses and lens coatings to offer those who work with computer screens. Our optometrist can carry out these visual screenings for a minimum of fifteen employees on-site at your workplace, or for smaller numbers of employees can attend our clinic in Virginia. According to the Health and Safety Act Regulations of 2007, employers are required to provide eye sight tests for all employees operating a VDU or DSE before taking up employment and at two yearly intervals thereafter.

Where an employee is deemed to need new or updated prescription glasses for VDU purposes, the employer is obliged to cover the cost of basic frames and lenses to meet these standards, which we can provide at a cost of €49.

We can also provide prescription safety glasses for employees where required.
